Kodiak Life
From $800.00 to $5,600.00
Kodiak Saltwater: We have an advantage over inland locations by also having the North Pacific's bounty of seafood, ranging from bottom fish to shellfish, which also makes for first class dining while with us, for which we have all the proper gear on hand. Throughout the summer months, the fish that abound in our area are: Halibut, Ling Cod, Sea Bass, Yellow-Eye, Red Snapper, Flounder, Greenling, and whatever strays from North Pacific waters! Freshwater: You would be hard pressed to find a place where the fishing is better than it is here. At our fishing spots, both along the stream banks and at the estuaries, the salmon abound by the thousands and you do not have to compete to find your own friendly nooks. It is not uncommon for guests to catch their daily-limit for each species targeted. (A guest freezer and waxed airline boxes are available for those who want to take all or part of their catch home.) Catch-&-Release is also popular for those who just love to fish and fish and fish!

Cooper Landing The turquoise water of the upper Kenai River flows out of Kenai Lake in beautiful Cooper Landing. This non-motorized stretch of water is nestled between the peaks of the majestic Kenai Mountains in permitted areas of the Chugach National Forest. An excellent stretch of water for catch and release fishing for native Alaska rainbow trout and dolly varden char as well as seasonal opportunities to fish the legendary Kenai River Sockeye and Silver salmon runs. The abundant flora and fauna offer a glimpse of Alaska's natural beauty and wildlife sightings are common.

Sterling The middle Kenai River flows out of Skilak Lake in Sterling, Alaska. There is excellent trophy rainbow trout and dolly varden catch and release fishing here in the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge as well as great seasonal sockeye (red) salmon fishing and silver (coho) salmon fishing. The use of motors is allowed here and we can use an outboard motor to cross Skilak Lake in the morning and to run back upstream to fish the most productive runs. The river is wider and slower here. Clear days offer a view of the Chugach Mountain range and the wildlife refuge is home to a large variety of Alaskan wildlife.
Starting from $200.00
Cooper Landing Wade and fish the clear waters of a beautiful freestone river. The Kenai Peninsula is nearly covered with rivers and creeks supporting resident populations of rainbow trout and dolly varden char as well as anadromous salmon and steelhead. Unlike the larger Kenai and Kasilof Rivers most of these creeks are to small for boats and the water is clear of glacial silt. Opportunities abound and change with the seasons. The Russian River is the largest tributary on the Upper Kenai River and one of our top choices for hike and wade fishing. A favorite with many dry fly fishermen the Russian offers one of the best local opportunities to see bears while fly fishing for salmon or trout.
