Rainy River • Trophy whitetail deer! This is a unique trophy deer area that is situated between Lake of the Woods and Rainy River. With mixed agriculture, timber, extensive food plots, and a season that coincides with pre-rut and rut, this area has everything that Western Canada has to offer. Due to light hunting pressure these whitetails live to be trophy age (5-7 years old) and become huge bodied with large racks. The only way a buck can become a Booner is living to maturity in an area that provides great cover, lots of feed, and light hunting pressure. The Rainy River district has it all!

Rainy River • Our semi-guided bear hunts are based from our remote fishing outposts on Pipestone Lake, which are boat-to destinations. Typically we plan to have our guests hunt in the evening, making for great opportunities to take advantage of the awesome fishing and beautiful scenery Pipestone Lake has to offer. The cabins are fully furnished with a fully functional kitchen. We will establish bait site locations and start baiting several weeks in advance of your hunt. If desired we can erect ladder stands or you can bring your own. At the beginning of the hunt we will escort you and your party to our remote outpost location(s), show you the different bait sites to hunt and key fishing locations to mark on your GPS.

Rainy River • Semi-guided hunt on miles of groomed trails over 20,000 acres of private land (with/without your own dogs). We have a diverse population of upland game birds including ruffed grouse, woodcock, sharptail grouse, and prairie chicken. Note from Paul Fuller: "Bird Dogs Afield was here in the fall of 2013 for a grouse hunt and film shooting. I have never seen so many grouse. Our 2nd day we had 49 ruffed grouse flushes and 6 sharptail flushes. In all about five hours of hunting. Our trip to Emo is one of our best broadcast television episodes this fall. Hunting parties will be responsible for transportation to and from hunting locations also their own meals. Owners will prepare one or two dinners for hunting party if they so desire. We recommend three to five days for a quality hunt.

Chapple • Our fully-guided bear hunts are between 5 minutes to 35 minutes from our lodging site. Our hunters are required to get themselves to our lodge, and we look after the rest - all meals, lodging, and an assigned guide that takes care of all travels to the hunting sites and back to the lodge. We run all our baited locations using 17' ladders in dense forest sites along highly travelled bear runways on private land. Our hunters can choose stands that range from 20-50 yards from the bait, depending on their comfort and confidence in a successful harvest. Currently, our hunters have used any of the following for their harvest - compound, traditional bow, crossbow, muzzle loader and either 30 caliber or a 45-70 firearm.

Ontario, Canada • Our spring season begins on May 25thand last till June 15th. Out Fall season begins September 1st. We start baiting one month before the season starts to make sure we attract and hold every bear in the area. A lot of time is spent checking baits to ensure the success of our hunts. We can cater to either gun hunters or bow hunters. The average distance to a bait a gun hunter will have is around 30-40 yards. Bow hunters will be set up 15-20 yards away depending on finding a useable tree/wind direction. The density of bear in this area are some of the highest in Ontario with 40-60 bears per 60 square miles. As provided from a recent survey by our Ministry of Natural Resources. You will be hunting in our bear management area so you will not encounter other hunters from other tourist outfitters. We only take a limited number of people to make sure we are successful in the future as well. So space is limited.

Ontario, Canada • Come hunt Mature Whitetail deer in Beautiful Ontario. Our hunt consist of a 6 day hunt except for the 1st week being that the Gun hunt will be starting on a Monday but accommodation will be provided for 7 days. You will be hunting on one of the many active baits (consisting of corn and apples) in the area. The average distance from the blind to the bait is around 40-60+ yards during the gun hunt and 20-25 yards during the archery hunt. Hunters will be hunting from treestands. You are welcome to bring your own treestand. Baiting begins on the 1st of September for the Archery seasons and October 1st for Gun season to insure all deer familiarize themselves with all of the baits. To insure a good hunt, all Gun and Archery hunts will take place in different areas within WMU 55A and WMU 57.

French River Rivière Des Français • French River Bear Outfitters has been an archery only business for well over 30 years (compound, crossbow, and traditional). All hunting takes place out of an elevated stand over an active bait with multiple bears. Typically all hunters are sitting on baits that we have confirmed big, mature, Pope and Young caliber bears present. In our area of the Province of Ontario we have many mature bears and the highest bear density in the entire province. Due to disability or preference, we accommodate ground blinds as well, just let us know what your needs are before arrival.

Ontario • We are a remote drive-to camp with hundreds of miles of logging roads and many lakes. Most Grouse Hunters have 100% success at our camp every year. We feed our bear thousands of pounds of cracked corn and oats and it is unbelievable what this does for our Grouse numbers. Many geese, ducks and rabbits are also taken. We also offer the Grouse Hunter some great Fall fishing, if you have a little extra time. Includes fully-equipped house-keeping cabins in a completely remote setting. Diesel electric power is on all of the time. A new modern bird and fish cleaning building is on site. We are situated on the Sturgeon River where it starts at Gathering Lake. Ontario, Canada • All of our Bear Hunting is done over baited stands within a five to thirty-minute drive of the resort bordering Quetico Provincial Park. We guarantee active baits and always have more working stands than the number of hunters in camp. Because of this, our success ratio is very good. We encourage both rifle and bow hunters and have stand areas suited to each. After the hunters are settled in their cabin, they are taken to their stand areas and given pointers on tree stand placement and how best to hunt each location. Ontario, Canada • Our area is known for its very healthy bear population. As lodge owners we manage our own bear management area (BMA). Our area stretches over 48.000 acre. We only allow a limited number of hunters each season to give everybody a fair chance of success. This policy so far resulted in an over 80% success rate. We do our hunts from last week of August until the third week of September - these weeks have proven to be the most productive ones.

Bull Moose in our area are common in the 1000 to 1200 pound range. All our hunting guests enjoy a high success rate with any of the three guided hunts.
