New York, United States • There is something for everyone during our late season (2nd split) of Late October through December. In late October and Early November wood ducks, mallards, blacks and other puddlers is what will typically fill the bag. As the season progresses and temperatures drop, big water hunts for divers and sea ducks begin, and we will hunt smaller marshes and private waters/land for migrating mallards and blacks. Canada geese are plentiful throughout the season, and on an average late season goose hunt we will see thousands of geese migrating in large flocks as they journey south. Field hunts for geese can also produce mixed bags with ducks, and on occasion snow geese may present yet another opportunity. We are in a "Flyway Highway", a main migration route for waterfowl as they migrate south. It is truly a waterfowler's paradise!

New York, United States • Our spring snow goose hunts begin at sunrise and end one half hour before sunset. Snow geese are the ultimate challenge for waterfowl hunters. These white devils have proven to be one of the toughest birds to harvest, especially the greater snow goose, which is the subspecies that makes up a large percentage of our migratory flocks in the Atlantic flyway. These birds have adapted to many hunting methods, which is partially what makes them so difficult to kill. To make our hunts successful, we have simply adapted our hunting strategies. Timing and location are the two most important factors with spring snow geese. We monitor the migration movement of these birds up the Atlantic flyway until they hit the Canadian border in order to time our hunts perfectly. Our hunting locations through the flyway are strategically located, as to put our decoys and hunters directly in the middle of the spring migration route.

This is a very exciting hunt, e-callers, unplugged gun and lets get after them, right. That's great, but I also recommend the January time. No e-callers, plugged guns, but specks diving in 10, 50, 1500 at a time. Now were talking. Not only do you have a liberal limit of snows to gun down, but a prize speck with a chest full of bars to go along with it.
